Aint No Monday-itis here!
I live by a very simple motto in life.... "My diet will start on Monday".
Tuesday brings late evening uni classes and 4pm snickers bar cravings.
Wednesday is family dinner night which without fail will always include seconds followed by an indulgent dessert.
Thursday coffee and cake dates turn into Friday dinners with friends, which turns into Saturday brunch and before I know it, I'm feeling guilty as I wash my Sunday night pizza down with a glass of coke.
There is something about the word "Monday" that just screams "a fresh start, a clean slate, a new beginning".
If you follow me on Instagram you will know that I am maybe, kind of, slightly obsessed with this wholefood café nestled down a little lane on New North Road, Kingsland called MONDAYS. The cozy, ivy adorned café is the collaborative masterpiece of health food bloggers Hannah Horton (Health Yeah) and Eleanor Ozich (Petite Kitchen).
The place has a rustic feel to it and the food is as authentic and close to nature as it gets. Despite what the Facebook memes tell you about what gluten-free, sugar-free, vegan, raw (**INSERT DIETARY REQUIREMENT HERE**) food - the food at Mondays doesn't taste remotely cardboard, In fact, it is so good that you don't even notice that you are eating healthy at all! I'm not even kidding, I took my highly sceptical, protein junkie father there and even he loved it! And lets just say that since then, their bounty bars have quickly become a diet staple.
