This morning my dad who has a kiwi accent was trying to tell me that I can't pronounce the word "pear".
I think I can pronounce it just fine thank you very much!
"Pear", I said.
"No piiiiieeeeeer" he responded in a kiwi accent as thick as he is. (Just kidding, love you Dad!).
So we agreed to disagree and headed down to a favorite local cafe for breakfast.
It was, of course, none other than Wild "Peaaaaar".
Sydney's Hills District has a BOOMING food scene, with new and trendy eateries popping up everywhere. Wild Pear however, has truly stood the test of time.
Situated in the heart of Dural, the wrap around deck and country style decor fit perfectly into the rural nursery surroundings. Despite the queue for tables, the waitstaff were friendly and personable. They took the time to engage in conversation with us and were never short of a smile.
The Mediterranean-inspired menu is a wee bit pricey, but the portions are generous and the flavours are magnificent. We ordered the Corn and Quinoa Fritters and the Spanish Eggs. Dad had an iced long black and I had the Rosewater milkshake topped with Pashmak - a pretty Persian floss that looks so pretty sitting on top of my bright pink milkshake. Apparently, they do incredible desserts here, some even topped with Pashmak! But after completely demolishing or delicious breakfasts, we had no more room!
